Maningrey rolls to victory in France
After a series of great placings this year, he had to travel to France in order to record his first annual win. And the journey definitely paid off for Maningrey and his connections, since the consistent gelding recorded his first strike on Listed level at Craeon racetrack in France today. Under jockey Mickael Barzalona, the five-year-old developed irresistible speed in the last two furlongs to take the €52,000Prix Fourrages Thierry Dutertre (1650m) by a length.

Maningrey is in training with Waldemar Hickst in Cologne for Höny-Hof stud where the Soldier Hollow son was bred out of the Surumu-mare Mandrella, which makes him a close relative to both the two-times classic winner Majorität and the champion sire Monsun.
